As many of you know by now, I am a huge nature lover. When I am feeling stressed, or out of sorts, a walk on the beach to look for sea glass or a hike through the woods, always makes me feel better. Things are put into perspective and I regain my appreciation for all of the beauty around me and the many blessings in my life.
When I have finished a yoga class, I feel much the same way. I can go to yoga practice feeling totally uptight and always come out feeling more at peace and ready to face the day.
Isn't it all about blocking out the NOISE that bombards us every day? Staying grounded to the Earth, focusing on the sounds of Nature and the sound of our breath during yoga practice helps to bring us back to ourselves and what is truly important in this life.
Simplicity, kindness, compassion, honesty, giving back....Some of the values that are easier to focus on if we have found our own sense of well-being by interacting with nature or by practicing yoga!
