I am so fortunate to live on Cape Cod, where the Sandwich Glass Museum is located. Here you can find displays of some of the earliest American glassware. A glass factory was founded in Sandwich in 1825. It became known as the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. Glassblowers were employed from Great Britain to work in the company. Today, glassware from here is highly sought after. For people interested in sea glass, the Color and Chemistry Room provides information on what minerals were used to create the different colors.
