I have often wondered if it really matters to people about their sea glass! Do they care if it is real from the sea or lake, or are they just as happy wearing something man-made? I have taken a pledge with the North American Sea Glass Association to use only "real" sea glass.
This makes my job a bit more difficult!! As you may have heard, real sea glass isn't that easy to find these days. I want only the smoothest and "well-cooked" pieces for my jewelry making, so that limits the available sea glass options even more.
Real sea glass is usually rounder and smoother at the edges and often has a frosty surface. The artificial glass is often thicker and more angular.
Do you care more about the color and style of the jewelry you are buying, rather than the fact that the sea glass is real or not? If you have an opinion on this I would love to hear from YOU!! Thanks:))
